What do you folks using for making your music and sound effects, I'm no composer but my Friend uses Garage Band. I wish I had myself a copy of Simple Piano, boy would that make life easier. Anyways, I've heard of quite a few programs so let me know what you think

for beginnners there is several programs you could start with
1: fruity loops (quite easy to use but limited)
2: reason (more expensive but capable of professional results)
3: garage band (comes with apple mac can not use with pc)
4: cubase (probably the best program to start with comes in various forms)
5: sonar (like cubase)
6: logic (mac only progam used by more advanced users)
7: protools (very expensive but the weapon of choice for pro's)

Guitar Pro 5, the best. Only the full version has realistic sound engine too. I recommend it.
